# Linguado vs Cafehub

The clearest difference is rating: Linguado at 4.6 against Cafehub's 3.7. Linguado also leads on ratings volume (130 vs 3). Cafehub's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 90%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Linguado sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Cafehub sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Linguado holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Linguado has 130 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 90% of Linguado's written reviews are positive against 100% of Cafehub's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Linguado ships an update fortnightly, Cafehub every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
