# FlightConnections vs AwardTool

The clearest difference is rating: FlightConnections at 3.8 against AwardTool's 2.6. FlightConnections also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and ratings volume (394 vs 8). AwardTool's advantage is update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 28 months) and review sentiment (40% vs 13%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AwardTool sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. FlightConnections asks for nothing beyond the download.

FlightConnections holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 2.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FlightConnections has 394 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 13% of FlightConnections's written reviews are positive against 40% of AwardTool's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FlightConnections ships an update every 28 months, AwardTool every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
