# Quick Note vs Nib

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Quick Note at 6 against Nib's 1. Nib's advantage is iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Quick Note sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Nib sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Quick Note against 5.0 for Nib. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Quick Note has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Quick Note ships an update every 8 days, Nib every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
