# CAM'ouflage vs Backdrop

The clearest difference is update cadence: Backdrop at every 11 days against CAM'ouflage's every 8 months. CAM'ouflage's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CAM'ouflage sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Backdrop sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $11.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CAM'ouflage ships an update every 8 months, Backdrop every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
