# Penbook vs PresentIQ

The clearest difference is rating: PresentIQ at 5.0 against Penbook's 4.5. Penbook's advantage is ratings volume (46K vs 1) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Penbook sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and PresentIQ sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PresentIQ holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Penbook has 46K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Penbook ships an update every 5 days, PresentIQ every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
