# Gastro Meal Prep vs Consol Tanning

The clearest difference is ads: Consol Tanning at none against Gastro Meal Prep's shown. Gastro Meal Prep's advantage is ratings volume (21 vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Consol Tanning holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Gastro Meal Prep has 21 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Gastro Meal Prep's written reviews are positive against 68% of Consol Tanning's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Gastro Meal Prep ships an update every 3 weeks, Consol Tanning every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
