# EBSCO Mobile vs Phoenix Edu

The clearest difference is rating: EBSCO Mobile at 3.6 against Phoenix Edu's 2.4. EBSCO Mobile also leads on ratings volume (78 vs 7) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15). Phoenix Edu's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

EBSCO Mobile holds the better App Store score, 3.6 against 2.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EBSCO Mobile has 78 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 32% of EBSCO Mobile's written reviews are positive against 33% of Phoenix Edu's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

EBSCO Mobile ships an update monthly, Phoenix Edu every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
