# Text ▹ vs TXT App Phone Now

The clearest difference is monetization model: TXT App Phone Now at free with in-app purchases against Text ▹'s subscription. TXT App Phone Now also leads on update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (12K vs 3.8K). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Text ▹ sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and TXT App Phone Now sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TXT App Phone Now holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3.8K and 12K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 26% of Text ▹'s written reviews are positive against 20% of TXT App Phone Now's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Text ▹ ships an update every 3 months, TXT App Phone Now every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
