# Text ▹ vs Text Call

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Text Call at 69% against Text ▹'s 26%. Text Call also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months) and rating (4.6 vs 4.4). Text ▹'s advantage is ratings volume (3.8K vs 600) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Text ▹ sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and Text Call sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Text Call holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Text ▹ has 3.8K ratings behind it against 600, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 26% of Text ▹'s written reviews are positive against 69% of Text Call's.

Text ▹ ships an update every 3 months, Text Call fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
