# SOTO+ (Student Observations) vs ScreenZen

The clearest difference is rating: ScreenZen at 4.9 against SOTO+ (Student Observations)'s 2.0. ScreenZen also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (52K vs 2). SOTO+ (Student Observations)'s advantage is iOS requirement (12.2 vs 16.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SOTO+ (Student Observations) sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per year and ScreenZen sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
