# CamRanger 2 vs Hypno Pro

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: CamRanger 2 at none against Hypno Pro's 10. CamRanger 2 also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (346 vs 17). Hypno Pro's advantage is review sentiment (70% vs 54%). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hypno Pro sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. CamRanger 2 asks for nothing beyond the download.

CamRanger 2 holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CamRanger 2 has 346 ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 54% of CamRanger 2's written reviews are positive against 70% of Hypno Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

CamRanger 2 ships an update every 4 weeks, Hypno Pro every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
