# Wellputt App vs PuttView

The clearest difference is review sentiment: PuttView at 81% against Wellputt App's 27%. PuttView also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks). Wellputt App's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 3.7) and in-app purchases (none vs 2). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PuttView sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Wellputt App asks for nothing beyond the download.

Wellputt App holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wellputt App has 324 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 27% of Wellputt App's written reviews are positive against 81% of PuttView's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Wellputt App ships an update every 5 weeks, PuttView every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
