# ChatDip Messenger vs Faxo

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: ChatDip Messenger at none against Faxo's 21. ChatDip Messenger also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 81%). Faxo's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.1) and update cadence (every 2 days vs fortnightly). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Faxo sells 21 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. ChatDip Messenger asks for nothing beyond the download.

Faxo holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Faxo has 2K ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of ChatDip Messenger's written reviews are positive against 81% of Faxo's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ChatDip Messenger ships an update fortnightly, Faxo every 2 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
