# FLOOX reader vs Simply Fluent

The clearest difference is review sentiment: FLOOX reader at 80% against Simply Fluent's 50%. FLOOX reader also leads on ratings volume (5 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). Simply Fluent's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 9 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FLOOX reader sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per year and Simply Fluent sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Simply Fluent holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FLOOX reader has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of FLOOX reader's written reviews are positive against 50% of Simply Fluent's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FLOOX reader ships an update every 9 months, Simply Fluent every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
