# FLOOX reader vs Speed Reading

The clearest difference is update cadence: Speed Reading at every 9 days against FLOOX reader's every 9 months. Speed Reading also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). FLOOX reader's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FLOOX reader sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per year and Speed Reading sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 6 months. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Speed Reading holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FLOOX reader has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FLOOX reader ships an update every 9 months, Speed Reading every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
