# Toya vs KiteChat

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Toya at 58% against KiteChat's 0%. KiteChat's advantage is rating (4.0 vs 3.0) and update cadence (weekly vs every 4 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Toya sells 20 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per 7 days and KiteChat sells 8 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

KiteChat holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 3 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of Toya's written reviews are positive against 0% of KiteChat's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Toya ships an update every 4 months, KiteChat weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
