# HotMic vs NoLemon

HotMic and NoLemon both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 83% of NoLemon's written reviews are positive against 64% of HotMic's. NoLemon also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). HotMic's advantage is ratings volume (162 vs 23). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HotMic sells 12 one-off in-app purchases and NoLemon sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $48.00 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for HotMic against 4.7 for NoLemon. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HotMic has 162 ratings behind it against 23, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 64% of HotMic's written reviews are positive against 83% of NoLemon's.

HotMic ships an update monthly, NoLemon fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
