# ESS 41 vs StoreForce

The clearest difference is rating: StoreForce at 3.0 against ESS 41's 1.4. ESS 41's advantage is ratings volume (3.1K vs 15) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

StoreForce holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 1.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ESS 41 has 3.1K ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 3% of ESS 41's written reviews are positive against 0% of StoreForce's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ESS 41 ships an update every 5 weeks, StoreForce every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
