# RouteHistory vs DriveTracker

The clearest difference is rating: RouteHistory at 4.7 against DriveTracker's 3.9. RouteHistory also leads on ratings volume (318 vs 7) and iOS requirement (16.6 vs 26.0). DriveTracker's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs monthly). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RouteHistory sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and DriveTracker sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

RouteHistory holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RouteHistory has 318 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of RouteHistory's written reviews are positive against 70% of DriveTracker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

RouteHistory ships an update monthly, DriveTracker every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
