# Well Digital vs On Deck Academy

The clearest difference is monetization model: On Deck Academy at free against Well Digital's free with in-app purchases. On Deck Academy also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 80%) and device support (4 vs 1). Well Digital's advantage is ratings volume (28K vs 11) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Well Digital against 5.0 for On Deck Academy. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Well Digital has 28K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 80% of Well Digital's written reviews are positive against 100% of On Deck Academy's.

Well Digital ships an update fortnightly, On Deck Academy every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
