# EcoHero vs GreenTrax

The clearest difference is ads: GreenTrax at none against EcoHero's shown. GreenTrax also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). EcoHero's advantage is ratings volume (27 vs 1) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. EcoHero sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and GreenTrax sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GreenTrax holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EcoHero has 27 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

EcoHero ships an update monthly, GreenTrax every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
