# Merry Berry vs Avocado

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Merry Berry at 67% against Avocado's 20%. Merry Berry also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (9 vs 1). Avocado's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Avocado holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Merry Berry has 9 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Merry Berry's written reviews are positive against 20% of Avocado's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Merry Berry ships an update monthly, Avocado every 6 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
