# Dualgram vs DoubleTake

The clearest difference is rating: Dualgram at 4.7 against DoubleTake's 3.4. Dualgram also leads on review sentiment (56% vs 43%) and ratings volume (2.7K vs 504). DoubleTake's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (14.1 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dualgram sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per year and DoubleTake sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Dualgram holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dualgram has 2.7K ratings behind it against 504, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 56% of Dualgram's written reviews are positive against 43% of DoubleTake's.

Dualgram ships an update every 5 weeks, DoubleTake every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
