# restore vs Dolyame

The clearest difference is ads: Dolyame at none against restore's shown. Dolyame also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.6) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). restore's advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Dolyame holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dolyame has 452 ratings behind it against 63, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of restore's written reviews are positive against 60% of Dolyame's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

restore ships an update every 3 weeks, Dolyame weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
