# Guide for Dauntless vs D4Planner

The clearest difference is rating: Guide for Dauntless at 4.5 against D4Planner's 3.8. Guide for Dauntless also leads on ratings volume (423 vs 40) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). D4Planner's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Guide for Dauntless sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. D4Planner asks for nothing beyond the download.

Guide for Dauntless holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Guide for Dauntless has 423 ratings behind it against 40, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Guide for Dauntless's written reviews are positive against 52% of D4Planner's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Guide for Dauntless ships an update every 3 months, D4Planner every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
