# HAT vs findmyTag

The clearest difference is rating: findmyTag at 1.9 against HAT's 1.0. findmyTag also leads on ratings volume (85 vs 1) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). HAT's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

findmyTag holds the better App Store score, 1.9 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: findmyTag has 85 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

HAT ships an update every 3 weeks, findmyTag every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
