# Picture Fish vs Synaelo

The clearest difference is rating: Synaelo at 5.0 against Picture Fish's 4.5. Synaelo also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 5 weeks). Picture Fish's advantage is ratings volume (5.3K vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Picture Fish sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Synaelo sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Synaelo holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Picture Fish has 5.3K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Picture Fish ships an update every 5 weeks, Synaelo every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and September 21, 2026 respectively.
