No sign-up. No email address, no password, no card. Open the app and connect. Each connection uses a ticket that carries no name, email address or card. FREE, WITH THE NUMBERS PRINTED Up to 2 GB per connection and up to 5 connections a day. A connection ends at 2 GB or after 24 hours, whichever comes first, or sooner when your data allowance runs low. It does not slow down before it ends. The app shows how many are left, and when the next one is back. IT TELLS YOU WHEN IT IS NOT WORKING ForestVPN reads the tunnel's own packet counters and reports its state, such as degraded, stopped at the handshake or an MTU black hole. It also names the layer at fault (your network, your internet provider, the first hop or the exit), or says the evidence does not name one. IT COMES BACK After a move from Wi-Fi to cellular data, a lock or a long idle period, the tunnel reconnects. ONE TAP OFF Disconnect is on the first screen. HOW THE TUNNEL IS BUILT • Quantum, ForestVPN's own protocol: a Noise handshake using X25519, ChaCha20-Poly1305 and BLAKE2s. • Handshake and keepalive packets are padded to a varying size, except after a fallback to a standard, unpadded handshake. • While the tunnel is up it carries the device's default route, and one setting sends all app traffic through it. iOS gives an app no way to stop every packet on the device, and we do not claim one. YOU PICK THE EXIT A searchable location list showing the tier each needs and whether it is accepting connections yet. WHAT WE DO NOT KEEP No column anywhere for the sites you visit or the names you look up. One row ties your device, and any linked account, to each session it pays for, to meter data and cut off a revoked device; it is deleted an hour after the session settles, or up to 17 days later for an unused ticket. Which exit a session used is erased when it ends. Apple handles payment; we never see a card number. WHAT WE DO COLLECT Per device: public key, platform, registration time, day last seen, any name you give it, any account link, data and connection counts per day (kept 31 days), and counts per month and any block with its reason (kept indefinitely). Each ticket request's country and network provider, and each connection's data use, are logged under a pseudonym for three months, to spot abuse and set limits. If you subscribe, Apple's signed transaction and a token tied to this device. A diagnostic report shows you its contents before you send it. IF YOU WANT AN ACCOUNT A 32-character account number, with no email or password, puts a subscription on your other devices. Only deleting the account unlinks a device; the app warns you before you link. PAID PLANS One paid plan, sold through Apple, billed monthly or every 12 months. The 12-month plan carries Apple's 3-day free trial if this Apple Account has never had a ForestVPN trial or subscription; otherwise Apple charges on day one. Price, renewal price and where to cancel are shown before payment. Canceling returns you to the free tier when the paid period ends. iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV.
