# Recorda vs Ridwell

The clearest difference is monetization model: Recorda at free against Ridwell's free with in-app purchases. Ridwell's advantage is ratings volume (8.2K vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 6 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Recorda against 4.9 for Ridwell. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ridwell has 8.2K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Recorda ships an update every 6 months, Ridwell every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 22, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
