# Singalong Solfege vs Ear Training

The clearest difference is rating: Singalong Solfege at 4.5 against Ear Training's 4.0. Singalong Solfege also leads on ratings volume (29 vs 2). Ear Training's advantage is review sentiment (95% vs 76%) and update cadence (every 9 days vs monthly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Singalong Solfege sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Ear Training sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Singalong Solfege holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Singalong Solfege has 29 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 76% of Singalong Solfege's written reviews are positive against 95% of Ear Training's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Singalong Solfege ships an update monthly, Ear Training every 9 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
