# Orchid vs Turbo Secure VPN

Orchid and Turbo Secure VPN both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Turbo Secure VPN's written reviews are positive against 66% of Orchid's. Orchid's advantage is ratings volume (225 vs 25) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Orchid sells 8 one-off in-app purchases and Turbo Secure VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Orchid against 4.7 for Turbo Secure VPN. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Orchid has 225 ratings behind it against 25, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 66% of Orchid's written reviews are positive against 100% of Turbo Secure VPN's.

Orchid ships an update every 5 weeks, Turbo Secure VPN every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
