# PL Detector vs Santa Tracker Official

The clearest difference is rating: Santa Tracker Official at 4.3 against PL Detector's 3.0. Santa Tracker Official also leads on ratings volume (16 vs 2). PL Detector's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PL Detector sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Santa Tracker Official sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
