# BlockSite vs Purity

The clearest difference is rating: Purity at 4.6 against BlockSite's 4.2. Purity also leads on review sentiment (74% vs 61%) and device support (3 vs 1). BlockSite's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks) and ratings volume (6.2K vs 895). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BlockSite sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Purity sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Purity holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BlockSite has 6.2K ratings behind it against 895, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 61% of BlockSite's written reviews are positive against 74% of Purity's.

BlockSite ships an update fortnightly, Purity every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
