# BlockSite vs MindGuard

The clearest difference is ratings volume: BlockSite at 6.3K against MindGuard's 8. MindGuard's advantage is review sentiment (80% vs 61%) and rating (4.5 vs 4.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BlockSite sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and MindGuard sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MindGuard holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BlockSite has 6.3K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 61% of BlockSite's written reviews are positive against 80% of MindGuard's.

BlockSite ships an update fortnightly, MindGuard every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
