# BlockSite vs HolyScrolls

The clearest difference is review sentiment: HolyScrolls at 100% against BlockSite's 62%. BlockSite's advantage is ratings volume (6.3K vs 4) and rating (4.2 vs 4.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BlockSite sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and HolyScrolls sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BlockSite holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BlockSite has 6.3K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of BlockSite's written reviews are positive against 100% of HolyScrolls's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BlockSite ships an update fortnightly, HolyScrolls every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 8, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
