# iScan vs ScanJet

iScan and ScanJet both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of ScanJet's written reviews are positive against 16% of iScan's. iScan's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (7.8K vs 9). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iScan sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and ScanJet sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ScanJet holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iScan has 7.8K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 16% of iScan's written reviews are positive against 100% of ScanJet's.

iScan ships an update weekly, ScanJet every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
