# Cloud Chaos vs Flag Painters

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Cloud Chaos at none against Flag Painters's 1. Cloud Chaos also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (80% vs 57%). Flag Painters's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 9 months) and ratings volume (76K vs 13). On price, rating and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flag Painters sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Cloud Chaos asks for nothing beyond the download.

Flag Painters holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flag Painters has 76K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Cloud Chaos's written reviews are positive against 57% of Flag Painters's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cloud Chaos ships an update every 9 months, Flag Painters every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
