# YDisciple vs St Carlo

The clearest difference is monetization model: St Carlo at free against YDisciple's subscription. St Carlo also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (19 vs 2). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for YDisciple against 5.0 for St Carlo. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: St Carlo has 19 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

YDisciple ships an update every 2 months, St Carlo weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
