# CBC Highlands vs HMLS

The clearest difference is rating: HMLS at 5.0 against CBC Highlands's 4.3. CBC Highlands's advantage is ratings volume (6 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.2 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

HMLS holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CBC Highlands has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

CBC Highlands ships an update every 2 months, HMLS monthly. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
