# Richmond Learning Platform vs Cambridge Active Learn

The clearest difference is update cadence: Cambridge Active Learn at every 3 months against Richmond Learning Platform's every 6 months. Richmond Learning Platform's advantage is ratings volume (6 vs 1). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Richmond Learning Platform holds the better App Store score, 1.2 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Richmond Learning Platform has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 13% of Richmond Learning Platform's written reviews are positive against 20% of Cambridge Active Learn's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Richmond Learning Platform ships an update every 6 months, Cambridge Active Learn every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
