# PairCamera vs SayCheese

The clearest difference is ads: PairCamera at none against SayCheese's shown. PairCamera also leads on review sentiment (53% vs 33%) and ratings volume (132 vs 13). SayCheese's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs monthly). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PairCamera sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and SayCheese sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.1 for PairCamera against 4.2 for SayCheese. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PairCamera has 132 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 53% of PairCamera's written reviews are positive against 33% of SayCheese's.

PairCamera ships an update monthly, SayCheese every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on September 22, 2026 and September 13, 2026 respectively.
