# Music Player+ vs Bass Boost Player

Music Player+ and Bass Boost Player both sit at 4.3 stars, but that hides the real split: 51% of Music Player+'s written reviews are positive against 32% of Bass Boost Player's. Bass Boost Player's advantage is ratings volume (707 vs 55). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Music Player+ sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Bass Boost Player sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bass Boost Player holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bass Boost Player has 707 ratings behind it against 55, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 51% of Music Player+'s written reviews are positive against 32% of Bass Boost Player's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Music Player+ ships an update every 2 months, Bass Boost Player monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
