# Float vs Habi

The clearest difference is update cadence: Habi at every 4 days against Float's every 6 months. Habi also leads on ratings volume (26 vs 3). Float's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Float sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Habi sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Float holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Habi has 26 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 95% of Float's written reviews are positive against 85% of Habi's.

Float ships an update every 6 months, Habi every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
