# Canon Large Format Printer vs Printer App

The clearest difference is rating: Printer App at 4.3 against Canon Large Format Printer's 2.7. Printer App also leads on ratings volume (38 vs 7). Canon Large Format Printer's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Printer App sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Canon Large Format Printer asks for nothing beyond the download.

Printer App holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Printer App has 38 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Canon Large Format Printer's written reviews are positive against 33% of Printer App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Canon Large Format Printer ships an update every 5 months, Printer App every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
