# SSH Client vs Terminux

The clearest difference is rating: Terminux at 4.5 against SSH Client's 3.6. SSH Client's advantage is review sentiment (47% vs 36%) and ratings volume (407 vs 83). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SSH Client sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and Terminux sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Terminux holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 407 and 83 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of SSH Client's written reviews are positive against 36% of Terminux's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 15, 2026.
