# Sunsama vs Routine

The clearest difference is rating: Routine at 5.0 against Sunsama's 4.5. Sunsama's advantage is ratings volume (517 vs 3) and review sentiment (50% vs 37%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Routine holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sunsama has 517 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Sunsama's written reviews are positive against 37% of Routine's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Sunsama ships an update every 2 weeks, Routine weekly. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
