# Missing Pets vs Petnow

The clearest difference is rating: Missing Pets at 4.7 against Petnow's 4.2. Missing Pets also leads on ratings volume (1K vs 11) and device support (3 vs 1). Petnow's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and review sentiment (50% vs 36%). On price, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Missing Pets sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Petnow asks for nothing beyond the download.

Missing Pets holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Missing Pets has 1K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 36% of Missing Pets's written reviews are positive against 50% of Petnow's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Missing Pets ships an update every 2 weeks, Petnow every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
