# Whisker vs LuvLink

The clearest difference is monetization model: LuvLink at free against Whisker's free with in-app purchases. Whisker's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.6) and ratings volume (147K vs 11K). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Whisker holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Whisker has 147K ratings behind it against 11K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 52% of Whisker's written reviews are positive against 55% of LuvLink's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
