# Whisker vs Whip Salon

The clearest difference is monetization model: Whip Salon at free against Whisker's free with in-app purchases. Whisker's advantage is ratings volume (150K vs 2) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Whip Salon holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Whisker has 150K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Whisker ships an update every 3 weeks, Whip Salon every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
