# Whisker vs Miminic

The clearest difference is monetization model: Miminic at free against Whisker's free with in-app purchases. Miminic also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). Whisker's advantage is ratings volume (150K vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Miminic holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Whisker has 150K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Whisker ships an update every 3 weeks, Miminic weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
